Visionary Hotel
Owner Ty Warner Brings Legendary Chef to New York
I was recently contacted
by Richard from BeanieUK regarding the authentication of a
Beanie called Chef Robuchon. Richard was looking for history on
this rare Beanie and hoped that some of my readers may be able
to assist him.
I did share with
Richard what I knew about the Beanie but more information is needed.
I can verify through
my sources that this Beanie was made for Chef Robuchon and was
sold only at the Four Seasons in NY. I also know
that the Beanie is "Limited" with no production number
available. I also shared a link that I had saved into a press
release I posted on the site last August - http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/08-09-2006/0004413079&EDATE=
Richard originally
thought the Beanie may be a sports or Japanese exclusive, until
further inspection of the hang and tush tag. The Beanie does have
the name of the chef on the tag and is a Ty product.
If you have any
details about this Beanie you wish to share with Richard, please
feel free to contact him at ext255@aol.com
Thank you in advance,
Ms. Janie

KarenBrit also researched
the beanie at Richard's request. She contacted the Four Seasons
Hotel in New York directly. The Four Seasons Hotel in New York
confirmed to Karen that they were given to journalists only for
the opening of Chef Robuchon's restaurant at the hotel. This source
could not confirm the exact quantity made.
