Heavenly Bears is a Christian family based business located in Lynch Station, Virginia. Our love of God and his angels inspired us to create our own line of beautiful little beanbag angel bears. Psalms 91:11-12 states, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."
Heavenly Bears was designed by Cindy Singleton and her 17 year old son Michael. Her husband Gary and daughter Caila have been their support and inspriation. Each bear is adorned with a beautiful pair of iridescent wings, and an embroidered symbol representing the scriptures referenced in its hangtag.
Today's market is inundated with a variety of beanbag bears. What makes your bear unique and collectible?
"The look, feel,
and design of our bears is completely unique. Heavenly bears are
adorned with a beautiful pair of iridescent wings that are modeled
after the Seraphim Angel. Seraphim Angels have the large enveloping
wings that reflect strength, and protection. Each bear will also
have 1 or 2 biblical scriptures inscribed in the hang tag depending
on the series, or theme of that particular bear. We feel that
Heavenly Bears will not only bring comfort and joy to all who
receive, but will also deliver messages of truth from our Lord
Jesus Christ."
Will your entire collection of beanbag and plush have religious themes?
"Heavenly Bears was designed with God and his Angels in mind, therefore all of our bears will have religious themes. We are also currently working with our manufacturer on a 13" plush line and should have final designs early January 2000. From what we've seen so far from our manufacturer, these bears will put a smile on your face, and happiness in your heart! "
What is the process time from conception to completed product?
"Getting our first bear to the final stages has taken the longest time. There was a special look and feel we wanted and our manufacturer worked with us until we accomplished our goal. Now that the initial bear is complete it usually takes about 30 days to design the images to be embroidered, complete the first prototype, approval process, and finally the manufacturing of the bear. My son Michael is an artist and will be doing most of the artwork on future releases."
Our very first Heavenly Bear is "Laurel", who is also the first in our "Fruit of the Spirit" series. Laurel represents the first of the Fruit of the Spirit line, which is Love. Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) is referenced in her hangtag stating, "but the Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control against such things there is no law." Laurel also features the scripture John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
There are a total of 9 bears in the Fruit of the Spirit series. The second bear, which will represent the fruit Joy, is on the drawing board now.
The beanbag line will carry unlimited and limited releases, a Signature Series, and "Wings for Hope" which is a benefit line for different organizations to be announced in the near future.
Not only will we feature a beanbag line, but Heavenly Bears is working with their manufacturer to have a larger 13" plush line as well.
We feel that Heavenly Bears will not only bring comfort and joy to all who receive, but will also deliver messages of truth from our Lord Jesus Christ.
What sort of excitement can we expect for the new Millennium?
"Will there be
a Millennium bear? Because our company is so new, and the extensive
tasks involved with creating our first bear, we were unable to
incorporate a Millennium Bear. In 2000 you will see the remainder
of the "Fruit of the Spirit" series bears released.
Laurel is the first in this series and is arriving to us December
3. The second bear in this series is on the drawing board now,
as well as limited edition "Special Day" and "Holiday"
bears. But, we're not telling....Also, we hope to finalize our
13" plush in January."
