HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

I’D LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY
TO SINCERELY WISH ALL MOTHERS

A HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.

I would like to share my feelings towards my mother.

My mother has struggled most of her life. She found herself married and divorced at a very young age. She raised three children practically on her own and successfully managed a career.

My mother and I have always remained close and I consider her a wonderful parent. My mother has a heart as big as all out doors. Her compassion and zest for life have been her best qualities.

I admire my mother and look to her for support in time of need. In this fast paced life we lead, it’s difficult to always express feelings openly, but I know my mother always knows how I feel.

My mom has been my biggest fan. She offers support, encouragement, and guidance. I was never afraid to make mistakes, because I knew she would always be there to pick me up and point me in the right direction.

It wasn’t until I had children of my own that I realized how difficult being a mom could be. We all want the best for our children but realize that allowing them to soar like Eagles can be very emotional and difficult.

If it wasn’t for my mom, I do not think I would be the mom that I am today.

For this, I love her and thank her.

WHAT BEING A MOM MEANS TO ME!

I’m a rather emotional person. I cry at the Bell Atlantic Reach Out and Touch Me commercials. I cry at romantic movies and I find myself acting like a fool cheering at different segments throughout movies. OK, So I'm a CUPCAKE!

As a mom I have to be strong! Being a mom can be very stressful and challenging. It's very difficult to be a parent and always wonder if you are making the right decisions. I tend to be a loving strict mom. I want my kids to confide in me, trust me and respect me. As a parent, you have to be strong enough to say NO, but have ARMS as big as the universe to hug and squeeze, show you care, and always be there.

 I love being a mom.

My children are the most precious gifts I have ever received.

I love that fact that my children rely and depend on me.

I love listening to their stories about their days events.

I realize that there will be disagreements, hurt feelings, and the all dreaded Puberty phase!!!

But, the memories that will come out of these experiences will be two fold.

That's what being a mom is all about!

Ms. Janie would like to suggest a little Mother's Day gift for your mom.

Let's make Mom a Acrostic Poem.

Write the words "Mother's Day in a straight line going down your page.

Each letter will represent a word or sentence about how you feel about your mom.

Example M Mature
O Outgoing
T Trustworthy
H Helpful
E Enthusiast
R Respected
S Super Mom
D Devoted
A Adored
Y Youthful

After you have finished your poem, draw a picture and give it to mom on her special day. I guarantee, she will love it!

************************************************************************

You can also write your mom a Beanie Mother's Day Poem. Try using the following Beanie names in your poem.

Chocolate, Happy, Mystic, Nuts, Peace, Prance, Rainbow, Jolly, Lucky, Magic, and Velvet.

Example:

I'm so Happy and Lucky to have a mom like you.

****************************************************************************

Try finding and buying mom a Beanie that you think resembles her personality. Not only could this be fun, but you can show mom how you really care.

 Example:

For fun witty moms. How about Spunky the cocker spaniel, or Jolly the walrus.

Maybe your mom loves chocolate. How about Chocolate the moose? You can purchase a box of moms favorite chocolate and tie Chocolate the moose to the box.

If your mom is a serious mom, why not consider, Rainbow or Peace the bear.

If your mom happens to be one of those moms who kisses you a lot, consider Smoochy the frog.

The possibilities are endless.

Just remember, what ever you decide to give Mom for Mother's Day, she will love it, because it came from you!
