The toy industry is hotter than ever! New product lines
are being introduced on a daily basis.
I would like to introduce a very special man who has worked this
industry for over 21 years.
Recently I had the pleasure of speaking with Dave Perry, President
of Cascade Toy. I found Dave to be an honorable person with lots
of energy and a creative mind for designing. Dave came across
as warm and fuzzy as his product line.

products from Cascade Toy. One of which is a 7" high Polar
Bear bean bag. The Polar Bear featured in this article should
be viewed as a prototype to the new 7" version. This piece
is absolutely beautiful.

Cascade can be credited for creating high quality plush
animals. These animals offer special features; the "Make
My Head Turn" line offers a plush piece with a head that
turns a full 360 degrees. There are a total of eight different
birds and animals to collect, which are from 11" to 19".
In the past several months, Cascade has expanded the "Make
My Head Turn" line to include a line of 7" high Bean
Bags. The first to be introduced will include four Penguins and
four Owls. The realistic look of this product will offer softness
and plush material. Do not confuse the material with your typical
bean bag line. It truly is plush and offers a more realistic look
than other products.
Cascade also offers a line entitled "Paw Puppet". The
Paw Puppet line allows children to make the puppets come to life
by using their fingers to animate them.
Cascade's Paw Puppet line is undergoing a transformation. As with
any collectible, the first versions should be highly collectible.
The changes will consist of adding beans to the line and its expectant
arrival is to be mid-year.
As a former preschool teacher, I particularly enjoyed this line
because it offers creativity -- fun and learning all rolled into
one. It's important to allow role playing while developing children's
minds; this product does both!
Because I'm a chocolate lover, the "Hershey's Kiss™"
bean bag puppets are also a favorite of mine. These puppets are
available in 6", 10" and 13". They come in either
silver or gold colors and are adorable.
Cascade also offers an extensive Plush line of larger puppets.
Some of the items included in the line are as follows. 10"
Panda Bear, style # 19391. This bear is handsomely designed to
not only look realistic, but also guaranteed to offer hours of
entertainment.
I am particularly fond of the 10" Polar Bear. This bear offers
the sweetest expression, has paw pad feet, pink mouth, tongue,
and looks like he's looking for a big hug!
Besides their exclusive line of puppets, Cascade also offers
an array of Plush animals ranging from various sizes. Some of
my favorites include, 13" Bald Eagle, style # 19137. This
eagle should be highly collectible for collectors throughout the
United States. Elephants are everyone's favorite and Cascade Toy
offers three different dynamic styles and sizes. 19" Elephant,
style # 19622, is the largest of the three, very lifelike, and
with a realistic ivory tusk. The 14" Elephant, style # 19621,
is also a wonderful addition to the Cascade line. The 10"
Baby Elephant is an adorable fun-loving animal.
I've recently learned that the first introduction of Cascade toys
offered a VERY small run. Many items were manufactured in quantities
of 250 per style. Talk about collectible! If you have an older
version of a Cascade Toy you may want to check on its value. You
may have a treasure you didn't even know existed!
