A heartfelt message from Ms. Janie,

I sincerely apologize if any of you felt like I had abandoned you. The simple truth is, my life had been taken over by circumstance and I no longer had control. I was simply feeling overwhelmed. I desperately needed to step back and reevaluate my priorities.

For thirteen years, I dedicated myself to Ms. Janie's Collector's Studio. This dedication included many hours of work, countless sleepless nights answering e-mail and updating the website, not to mention a non-stop adrenaline rush, and my intense desire, to please my readers.

My free time was virtually non-existent. Every hour was spent taking care of my daughter during her pregnancy, welcoming my granddaughter, Sarah, into the world, and working along side of my husband and son on our NASCAR race team. Somewhere along the way, I lost myself! My health had taken a turn for the worse and I no longer knew who I was, what I wanted or what direction I needed to turn to next! My website was neglected. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Before I knew it, I was a marionette with everyone pulling strings, except me.

It wasn't until recently, when I removed the filters from my email, that I saw the enormous outpouring from friends and fans wanting to know where I was, if everything was okay, and what, exactly, was going on. So many of you sounded worried, confused and just wanted to touch base. I felt alive all over again! From that point forward, I took back my life. I am proud to announce that Jennifer, Bryan and Sarah are now settled in their new home in Orange County, Va. I watch Ms. Sarah on Friday's and visit one other day a week. Dave has settled nicely into the NASCAR Mini Modified Division, winning the championship and Rookie Of The Year for 2009. Mike and I are still plugging away at our business of 28 years, Daniels Auto Care, and things are going as well as can be expected in a poor economy.

So now it's my time! I get to enjoy a few things that I have deeply missed and have been unable to do. First off, I look forward to rekindling friendships! I have missed conversing with my subscribers and need to get caught-up on your lives. I miss my website, and have decided to take it in a new direction; one that's less stressful and hopefully will be more enjoyable for all of us! While collectibles will be a feature of the site, I will be concentrating more on crafts, hobbies, crocheting, embroidery and other topics. I think you will find the site enriched with more than enough information and projects to keep you busy for a while. Do not expect this undertaking to appear overnight as it will take some time to build, but I am excited and plan to work on it diligently. I will keep you informed as to the progression of the site, and release sections one at a time. Please feel free to share any of your ideas on the topics mentioned.
