In late 1986, I met
Donna Dixon for the first time. I recall her being especially
sweet, soft-spoken and very down to earth.
One night while sitting at the kitchen table working on crafts
for the holidays I heard a peck at the window. I knew it would
be Sherri as this was her calling card.
I opened the front door in my PJ's and there stood Sherri with
her sister Donna.
At first I was embarrassed but Donna quickly made me feel comfortable
and at ease.
We sat and chatted for a long while and I quickly realized that
she was just like any other person.

It wasn't until July
1992 that Donna and I would meet again. She attended my son's
first birthday party with her daughter Danielle and was a huge
hit.
Everyone who attended recognized her grace and beauty.
Although I have many photographs of this event, I have chosen
not to share them because I want Danny and Donna to be relaxed
in my home without feeling they are being photographed for the
public.
My husband Mike worked
on Dan's car and met him on many occasions'. It wasn't until September
1992 that I finally got to met Danny for the first time.
He was scheduled to pickup his car from the station and Mike came
and got the family for us to meet him.
My daughter Jennifer
wanted to give Dan a gift so she made him a wind chime out of
paper towel rolls. She tied them together with string and drew
pictures on them.
When she presented them to Danny he made a big fuss over them
and kissed her for her gift.

Danny is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He is highly intelligent and has a great sense of humor. While he was visiting many customers recognized him and asked for autographs. He always had a kind word to say and obliged his public.

I have often thought about asking them to sign Ty pieces for me to use as prizes for the website but did not want to take advantage of our friendship. I also realized that they were stars and it would be unusual for them to autograph items just for me to give them away.
When Ty launched Ty Trade and designated signed Ariel bears for The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation I immediately thought about Danny and Donna. I knew they had been involved with many children's charities and thought they may be interested in supporting this cause as well.
I am proud to say,
without any hesitation at all, Danny and Donna signed the bears
and also provided me with autographed photos, which I sent to
Ty.
Ty has agreed to post the bears and signed photos on Ty Trade
for auction.

Below you will find information on these two remarkable stars.
Here's hoping the bears generate a lot of interest and everyone
has enjoyed my encounter with two of the biggest stars in the
industry.
I thank Danny and Donna for their support and promise that I will never take advantage of our friendship. This is a once in a lifetime offer!

Donna Dixon:
Classic TV Characters
Donna Dixon
Bomb Shell Actress Sonny Lumet, "Bosom Buddies"
Donna Dixon was a college student and a part-time model when she nabbed the part of Sonny on "Bosom Buddies." The part was based heavily on Marilyn Monroe's "Sugar" from the classic feature "Some Like It Hot," though Dixon brought her own spice to the role.
In 1983, while doing her first feature film, Dr. Detroit, she met and later married "Saturday Night Live" pioneer Dan Aykroyd with whom she went on to star in several feature films. She continues to act on television and in features, most notably in Oliver Stone's "Nixon" and a recent guest spot on "The Nanny."
