A special thank
you to Leigh for sharing his pictures and knowledge on his findings.
When I was first contacted I asked for scans of
the suspected fake Beanie.
After viewing the scans and comparing them to my
own Radar tush and hang tags, I became increasingly concerned.
As a Beanie authority, I was unaware of any fake Radar's during
the time it was current and knew that once it had retired, Ty
would not manufacture any more quantities.
I then consulted with BEANIEMOM
(Sara Nelson) a Beanie Expert who agreed with what I had suspected.
In fact to the best of our knowledge, there were no Radar's ever
reported with poem errors.
If you view the tags closely, not only will you
find the word (flies) misspelled, you will also find a font and
color change along with a difference in the UK address. There
is also an extra space between Radar and the TM sign on the hang
tag. It should read Radar NOT Radar
