Chipper and Precious enjoy a picnic!

Chipper and Precious plan a picnic to greet the new Beanie KIDS!

Chipper and Precious are eagerly waiting their new friends to join them in Ty KID land.
They have been brainstorming up ways to make their new friends feel welcomed.
Precious, the typical female that she is comes up with the perfect solution.
She proclaims, "Chipper there's nothing like a perfect picnic to get kids talking, laughing and acquainted. I think we should welcome the new KIDS on the block with a grand picnic."
Chipper agrees and the two of them start to lay out what they believe to be the best picnic ever!

The two sat down with pen and paper and started making out a list.
"Hmmm, lets see we'll need lots of supplies.
Blankets to sit on, games to play, lots of delicious food, some sort of craft to help entertain us while we are resting up from all of our activities and a special souvenir to remind us of our special day."

"I have an idea," proclaims Precious," why don't the two of us go on a picnic and test our plan to insure that it will be perfect."
"That's a great idea," said Chipper.

Precious and Chipper, along with Bones the dog, found the perfect spot to picnic and put their plan into action. As they worked they enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch that Precious had prepared. The lunch included: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with sliced bananas, watermelon, cheese wedges and animal crackers. They washed down their meal with bottled water and quickly went back to work.

Precious and Chipper decided upon a game called Feed the Bears.
They would make hungry bears by cutting out the center sections from paper plates, including part of the rim at what will be the bottom of the bear's mouth. They would cut ears from the discarded portion and staple in place, they would draw features with a felt tip pen, and tie a string through holes in ears, so the head hangs down about 8 inches. Then, they would tape the three heads along the edge of a picnic table with masking tape.
Then the KIDS would stand 5 feet away. We would give him three balls, one for each bear. The KIDS who succeed in throwing balls through all three mouths, receive a small prize.

Next Precious and Chipper would come up with a fun craft.
"Hey Precious! I have a great idea. I remember once making watermelon out of ice cream," Chipper exclaimed.
"Chipper, have you lost your marbles? How in the world do you make watermelon out of ice cream?"
"It's very simple. Follow my easy directions," Chipper explained.
" Ok Chipper, I just hope you know what you are doing!"

"You take a bowl and line it with lime green sherbert. Make sure that you bring the sherbert all the way up the sides of the bowl. Next you mix raspberry or strawberry ice cream with chocolate chips. The ice cream should be a little soft, which will help you mix it easier.
After it's all mixed you then fill the bowl with your mixture and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours.
When we get ready to serve our watermelon ice cream we should turn the bowl over and tap it a few times, this will allow it to come out easier.
Our friends will be so impressed when we slice it and it looks like watermelon."

"Oh Chipper, you are so smart. I can hardly wait to hear the excitement in their voice when we tell them they will be making their own dessert. Chipper, we also need to come up with something very special to remind us of how new friends can bring so much joy into our lives. I have an idea that I think everyone will enjoy."

"Ok Precious, let's hear your idea."

"Friendships are meant to grow like flowers so why don't we make our souvenir from our picnic to be a mug of potted flowers? The KIDS can take them home as a reminder of the great time they had at our picnic. The flowers will always be a symbol of our friendship and as they grow, so too will our friendships grow!"

"Oh Precious, you're so warm hearted and kind, no wonder you're always on my mind!" Chipper exclaimed.

"Now Chipper you better stop before I blush! I think we have had a great day getting to know each other better and planning the best picnic ever for all of Ty's beanie KIDS.
Thank you Chipper for being my friend and for helping plan this picnic, if we are lucky maybe DAD (Mr. Warner) will show up if he's in town!"
