Peace is the beanie
That I'd like to be...
Peace is the one
That's really like me.
Whenever my kids
are teasing each other.
Out comes my Peace keeping
Like most any Mother.
I'm cool as a cucumber
when dealing with them.
If it wasn't for my Peace keeping
There would surely be mayhem.
I love them dearly
and wouldn't have it any other way.
And despite their teasing....
Peace saves the day!
PS: Shortly after I started
collecting beanies in mid 1997, I entered an essay contest, and
won a beautiful Peace bear. He's always been one of my favorites!

Wiggles & Giggles
My nephew Eddie is a wiggly boy
He is often known to jump for joy
He swings his legs, he jumps around
His feet don't stay on the ground
Of all the beanies I know one comes to mind
That after my Eddie, it could be designed
This beanie goes by the name of Squirmy the worm
And just like Eddie, his squirm seems long-term
They both tend to get dirty from playing in the yard
Because when they play they do it so hard
And even with all the mess, seeing their smile
Makes all the clean-up work seem worthwhile
Even though they may move a lot
I wouldn't want them to stay in one spot
I think it's fun that they are so free
To be just how they want to be
Thanks to Eddie
Squirmy will always be
A very special beanie to me
Squirmy the Worm's Poem
I can't sit still, it's just too hard
I roll and wiggle in the yard
They try to tell me not to squirm
But I can't help it, I'm a worm!
I chose to write this poem about my nephew Eddie because he IS
Squirmy the worm! LOL He can't sit still but he is such a sweetie
that it never bothers me! :o)

Well, I couldn't decide
what beanie I am so I asked my husband. He said I am Magic because
I have brought magic into his life. And what beanie is he, why
schweetheart of course. He loves to bring me little beanie surprises
and he even built me a huge glass and mirrored cabinet to put
all the little
treasures in. And he even has the spiked hair just like schweetheart.
He is just such a sweetie he couldn't be any beanie but schweetheart.
Yes, Magic and Schweetheart live here in our house. smiles, Arla

Hello Ms Janie,
A beanie that reminds me of me is: KuKu the Cockateil :) I seem
to always be running around...chattering like a talking bird with
absolutely now one listening to me! The poem in KuKu's heart tag
starts off saying, "This fancy bird loves to converse"....yep
that's me alright! Yes, KuKu and I share a unique personality
alike....shoot....we even have fuzzy hair on top alike....I sure
wish mine were pink!

Ms. Janie,
What a fun contest! It was tough deciding which beanie represents
me. Unfortunately, it is one of my least favorite beanies. I chose
it for name only and what the name means.
I can be described as Kaleidescope because I am constantly being
"twisted and turned" throughout my day. I am a mother
of two children, a wife, a pet owner, and I have a part time job.
Within each of my "views", they constantly change, depending
on how events "fall". I may be a giver of praise, caregiver,
disiplinarian, teacher, provider, hug giver, etc. at any given
moment.

Hi Ms Janie !!!
This looks like it is a fun kind of contest !!! I relate most
closely to Princess Kid (today) and I wrote a little verse to
tell you why:
I am a Princess, through
and through
My hair is long and red and CURLY,
We could be twins in looks alone
Most people would think so surely !!!!
My Sweetie treats me like
one too,
I only need to call,
And tell him that a Bean retired,
He comes home with them all!!
He is my Prince, I love
him so
We hunt those beans together,
Rooting through those toys at sales
In ANY kind of weather !!
He knows that beanies are
my thing
And never does he moan,
He gently puts protectors on
As soon as we get home !!
He knows some of the beans
by name!
But I mustn't tell
It would not be a "manly" thing
In delight his buds would yell !!!!
Thanks Ms Janie !!!!!

-Erin the bear, just like me-
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
I'm often lucky
And it feels GREAT!
Finding many 4-leaf clovers in the past
Hopefully my luck will last
Continuing through the years
Forward, the way I hope it steers
Overconfident you may say?
No, just stating an opinion as I may
Bought from my favorite retailer Sharon
Is the beanie that's most like me, Erin!

Ms. Janie -
The following is my entry:
o Sometimes I'm Mellow with a big hug.
o Sometimes I'm Silver taking off with a shrug.
o Sometimes I'm Kooky and make people laugh.
o Sometimes I'm Wisest and get A's in math.
o But no matter how hard I try to find the beanie that's me.
o I have to accept I'm the beanie that's yet to be.

Taylor is my little girl
and in fact does share
Many traits with that beautiful Billionaire Bear.
Most bears like honey, but not my little bunny.
She prefers money.
Of cash she thinks I am made,
Only expensive items make the grade.
When she has cash,
It is gone in a flash.
Although I must confess,
Even when her spending causes me duress,
Her big bear hugs and little sweet smile
Catch my heart and leave me no denial.
I get from her far more than I give,
Without her I just couldn't live.
Thanks!!

My Beanie Personality
Peekaboo the Turtle
I think I would most be like Peekaboo the turtle. The reason why
my personality resembles Peekaboo is because when I first meet
people, I am usually shy and quiet, but once I get to know them,
I am able to more comfortably speak with them and interact with
them. In Peekaboo's poem it mentions: "If you'll be my friend
today, I'll come out so we can play!"
These verses greatly resemble myself because if you'll be kind
to me, I'll be glad to talk!
Smiles,
Ryan Connell

Hi Ms Janie! Halo II reminds me of my mother here is why:
My mother is my angel sent
from above
To show me guidance, patience and love.
Just as Halo II will always be close to me
So will my mothers love always be.
No matter how far away I may reside
With Halo II my Mom will be at my side.
For Halo II is a reminder love is in our heart
An angel to make sure we are never apart.

If I were a Beanie Baby
I would most likely be Sheets
Because then just maybe I could scare people for treats
Of course I am thinking about Halloween day
My favorite time to come out and play
I would turn invisible all the time
But not to resort to a life of crime
I would use my talents for eerie fun
Laughing when making kids run
But my fun doesn't end on Halloween
I am known all year as Sheets the Bean!
----------------------------------------------------------
I chose Sheets the Beanie Baby because not only does he share
my birthday of October 31,
but he also shares my favorite holiday of Halloween!!

I travel on the Internet,
In search of beanies you can bet!
When I can't log on, I get in a fret,
but when I can then I am set.
Have you folks seen Ms Janie's page?
It is good for folks of any age.
For buying beanies she's my gage.
Her advice is oh so sage.
She gives the traders a place to meet.
Pull up a chair, take a seat.
The beanies here just can't be beat.
And the people there are a real treat.
It is through her site I have travelled far.
There was never a need for my car.
It really is just so bizarre,
How this beanie has become a star.
Thanks Ms Janie for this game.
Has anyone yet guessed my name?
There are two other beanies almost the same.
The internet is our claim to fame.
My Owner and Ms Janie seem,
to think we three make quite a team.
None of us are a shade of green,
but each of us is stuffed with beans.
The sight of me melts hearts like honey.
And I did not cost a pile of money.
When Heather writes something funny,
She brings to mind a bear called SUNNY

I've always said my Brandon
is the family Parrot so Jabber he will be.
Repeats anything and everything just you wait and see.
Just be careful of what you say...
It will come back to you one day.
So when his older brother and sister get in trouble..
He quickly comes forth with his own little rebuttal..
"Tough" he says and snickers as he runs away
It's all in fun and all in play.
His siblings don't like it too much..
But I have a good giggle..
Our little Jabber the parrot if full of wiggle
As colorful as he can be
Describes his personality
If I'm quiet I'm either sleeping or up to no good
Fortunate for me I'm little so it's understood
Jabber, Jabber, talk and squack
I just talk and talk and don't want to stop
But that's how I learn and I'm happy to say
A smart one am I, and will be smarter today.
Because my Mom loves to play and play.

There's not a beanie,
That describes me best.
Although some are cute,
Funny, stands out among the rest
But if I really had to choose
I might say Chocolate, the moose
Why Chocolate? You might say,
Well... I guess I just like candy!
Chocolate chips, and Butterfinger,
I'm always wishing for the taste to linger.
But also Kuku is my bean
Because he's crazy, just like me!
Maybe Jabber, 'cause he talks.
hehe, Sometimes people wanna put me in a box!
Sly is another that comes to mind
Sly is sly, but also kind
Maybe Cheezer, 'cause I am small
And I tell lots of cheezy jokes, I tell them all!
Maybe Trumpet, when I feel tall
I always let my opinion be heard by all
Hmm... Lucky the ladybug?
Nah, but I love that little lug!
So Chocolate, Sly, Cheezer, Trumpet, Jabber
Are the beanies for me, and for that matter
I love beanie babies, I love them all
In Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall
It's kinda long, but it's
the truth! Hey, can't blame a 14 year old for
trying :o) ~*Lydia

Ms. Janie,
I was going to send a joke, but somehow it turned into a little
story. Here it goes....
I asked, "Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the DEAREST
one of all?"
Mirror replied, "My dear, I am surprised that you have to
ask. Here is a clue for you...
My dear, you may be feeling blue
because it isn't you.
The answer isn't even a Princess,
for the answer, take away the ss.
Think along the lines of Smart
when it comes to getting your car to start.
He is always feeling Cheery,
even when he should be feeling weary.
Somene who is very Huggy,
even when the weather's muggy.
In your book, he's the #1 Bear,
from his toe to his hair.
Now my dear,
the answer is quite clear.
I replied, "The Dearest one of all is My Husband, My HERO."
Mirror replied, "You are correct, but I think you need to
do some explaining before he does some complaining."
I replied, "I did ask you an obvious question. He is the
Dearest for so many reasons. I will list a few for you...
Whenever I am feeling blue;
he knows just what to do.
Through a smile, laughter or a tear
or simply letting me know he's near.
I know this is rather sappy,
but he really makes me happy.
Through a smile, laughter or a tear;
he takes away my fear.
When I try to take a stand;
he takes me by the hand.
Through a smile, laughter or a tear;
he lets me know that he is hear.
I love beanies! Yes, I do;
but my hubby is my one true!
Through a smile, laughter or a tear;
he is my one true dear.

Hi there
Let me introduce myself - my nickname is "mitch" and
I am an elderly beanieholic!! - this is my entry for the competition
to describe the beanie most like me:-
When I was young I used
to dream
That one day I'd be a Princess or Queen.
As years went by, I older grew
And my dreams took on a different hue.
I dreamt of the lottery and becoming rich,
Of news headlines which said "Well Done Mitch"
Now I am old and I really don't think
That dreams do come true. - Or is there a link
With my childhood dream of being a Princess ?
I'm really not sure, but I must confess
That a pretty mauve bear with a rose on her chest
Is the beanie baby that describes me best,
Since I am cuddly and cute and have helped charity,
So I am a PRINCESS and my dreams a reality.
Beanie Greetings

Weenie and I are small
Long and lean and not very tall
Brown hair is something we both treasure
Hardly ever having to consult a hair dresser
My hair is long and his is short
But this little dispute isn't going to land us in court
We may be small, but certainly clever
We'll need it, through everything we may endeavor
As I near the very end
And am about to push the "send"
I'm not going to make this very sappy
But thought I'd let you know that we are always happy!

"Staying Strong and Waddling Along"
Waddle is the beanie most
like me
Short, fat, and happy as can be
Back and forth, to and fro
Is how we travel, is how we go
Doddling every now and then
No wonder I don't make a "Ken"
But none of those things
matter
For I never let my feelings shatter
Thanks for reading,

If I were a beanie, it's
Maple I'd be
Because this proud little bear is so much like me.
I love to play hockey in winter and summer
(But when the Leafs lose, it sure is a bummer)
I wave my flag with love and pride
On ski hills and frozen ponds I slide.
Maple syrup makes ANY food better
(It's not JUST for pancakes, you know.)
And nothing says "love" like a hand knit sweater
When playing out in the snow!
My Maple sits next to his friend Libearty
They share secrets and laughter and tears
And when Hockey Night in Canada comes
They share good natured rivalry and cheers.
Like Maple, I love my friends to the south,
Where the red white and blue waves so proudly
And I sing of the "true north strong and free"
And of the "land of the brave" just as loudly.
So, if I were a beanie, it's Maple I'd be
A proud Canadian through and through
But with love and respect and honour and pride
For my American friends, like you :-)
Cheers,
Colleen :-)

My children could be described
by the Beanie name RADAR.
It doesn't matter what they are doing, they "sense"

they are swooping in on me.

I am writing about my "Princess."
If there were a "miracle" beanie that would
be the one, but since there's not Princess will do.
I have a brand new baby,
she is a sweet as sweet Honey, although she's not
purple and fluffy. She's worth more to me than any amount of money.
We lost the one before her, and waited many years for her to be.
Then God
decided to bless us, And he let her come to me.
She is my little "Princess" and forever will be that
way, and I cant thank
heaven enough that she is mine to stay!

Alex, my niece, is on the
run
Always looking to have some fun
She moves so fast and is always busy
I can't keep up, she makes me dizzy
Thats how to me it suddenly occured
That she's just like a hummingbird
Alex and Nectar are just the same
All except for their first name
They are both pretty, small, and petite
I wish there was some way these two could meet
I know they would be friends right from the start
Because they are both so friendly and smart
I decided to write about my sweet niece Alex because as soon as
Nectar came out and I read its poem I thought of Alex! We have
always called her our little bird because she eats like one and
is graceful. I think Nectar is the best bird by Ty so far and
Alex and her have so much in common. They are always busy and
on the run but are still so sweet and pretty!

One beanie to choose over

A tribute to MY PAL KAL
Kaleidoscope is a lot like me or maybe I'm like him,
Sometimes crazy, other times kooky, doing things on a whim!
Kaleidoscope is the beanie
like me but sometimes it can be hard to see
That we're both happy and wild and free and yet as lovable as
can be.
We're kind of odd and kind
of funny we're attracted to fun like Pooh is to honey.
Some people love us and some people say EEK! Our bright, bold
colors are NOT for the meek!
I aspire to be as brave
as Kal - that nose is a cause for shame!
But he's not afraid to stand on all fours and proudly announce
his name!
He told me "Be proud
of who you are and always stand your ground"
I said " You're RIGHT Kal!" and I was amazed at the
strength that I had found.
At least I don't have those
bright yellow eyes but I must confess - I can't tell any lies
The rest of Kal is a sight to see! No matter what anyone says
- he's a beauty!

I have a little 5 year old
daughter, her name is Vicki.
But when you ask her who she pretends to be.
Schweetheart the Orangutan is she.
She is very playful but not on vines or limbs
but you cannot pull her off the local Jungle Jim.
She may never come close to an actual jungle or vine.
But she will tug at your heart strings and soon own them like
she does mine.
A face of pure innocence and cuteness to spare.
You will not be able to get off you mind because of the smile
she wears.
Ty did the impossible and you might think me insane.
Cause my daughter could be Schweetheart the Orangutan.
Monkeys have always been my daughter's favorite beanies and Schweetheart is her favorite. She has loved him since the moment she laid eyes on him and I since the first time I held her. Her closeness with this beanie/buddy spawned the poem above.

Hi. I would have to say
that Im most like Inky or at least need to be. Im a mother of

to always be going in ten different places at one time. Always
seems to be one kid going "Mom, I need this washed for tonight"
and another going "Mom, I spilt the milk."
My son Dylan is disabled, I wont go into all that, but I run him

the arms lol... At our house chaos reigns so Inky would be perfect.
I think alot of mothers can relate to that one..

Taking life easy
And stopping to smell the flowers
So, what beanie may that

Ruffus and Robert are as
smart as can be.
They're really cute as you can see.
Play with them, and have some fun.
Throw a ball and watch them run!!
Rufus and Robert are as quick as can be.
They run and run for all to see.
They jump, they roll, they have fun.
Playing in the rain and sun!!
Rufus and Robert as friendly as can be.
Loyal and faithful, you will see.
Play with them, join in their fun.
Share a game, poem, or hotdog bun!!
Rufus and Robert are best friends as can be.
Ever together, the pair you see.
Constant buddies sharing fun.
And their play is never done!!
Hi
We wrote the above poem with some help from Ty :o)
because we feel that the beanie baby Rufus reminds
us most of Robert. As the above poem illustrates,
Robert and Rufus are very much alike. They both

and you can count on them to be a loyal and trustworthy
friend. But most of all they love to play and have lots of fun.

Today I am feeling a bit
like Kooky
I get so addled, I sound kinda goofy
My limbs hang loose, my hips stick out
My tummy droops in a nice round pout.
I cannot decide on the color
for my hair.
So like Kooky's whiskers
It's a multi-colored affair!
Kooky's fur with blue & purple spots
Matches my skin when I get cold then hot
(Hot flashes can be so much fun
most women my age have experienced one)
KooKy also has big puffy
feet
I do too, now ain't that sweet!
We both like to dance around
To our favorite music sounds
Kooky may be more fun than
I
But I am willing to give it a try
I may be aging and looking funny
But I still like having fun, honey!

Hello Ms Janie!
I had to write you to tell you that the beanie baby that closely
matches me is Claude the Crab! Claude was the second beanie baby
that I had bought and I honestly can't tell you why I bought him
except for the fact that my kids and co-workers had said I can

Hello Ms. Janie,
How can I resist such a fun contest!
I've collected walrus figurines since I was young. Why do you
ask? Well, when I was 10 my family took to me to Sea World, and
a walrus spit a stream of water into my face. It's been love ever
since! So, needless to say, I think that my personality is best
represented by Tusk the walrus.
Tusk looks so cute with
this tucks so straight, reminds me when I was young with my two
buck teeth.
He sits strong and proud upon a rock so tall, above the roaring
sea.
While he watches a distant polar bear, he smiles upon his family
below.
He knows that danger is always near, but knows the importance
of enjoying
friends and family that's near.
Tusk is not as intelligent
as one might think, but street smarts is what
makes him tick.
His family is all that he's known, but has traveled here and far
to learn what life gives, and what life takes.
And so he sits upon a warm rock waiting till time when they would
return to sea.
For, walruses love to swim
the ocean currents with their loved ones, but like to sunbathe
in peace.
They are big and strong, in personality and bulk.
But nothing beats the size of their hearts!
With much love,
Melissa Bennett

Hi, Ms. Janie,
The beanie baby that reminds
me most of me is the Billionaire Bear. I'm in the beanie business
because I enjoy helping people find the beanies they are looking
for. But the other positive side of this is that I'm located in
Chicago and have had the opportunity to help Ty employees sell
their Billionaire Bears. It is not the selling of the beanies,
but the joy that come from these sales. One lady gave the money
to her 80-year old mother to "do with as she wished."
Another Ty employee has a beautiful singing voice and used the
money to cut his first record. A severely handicapped Ty employee
used the funds for a long-awaited vacation to visit his brother
in California. One lady paid for her daughter's wedding reception.
Another bought furniture for a new house. Yet another opened her
own business. I like to think of my business as bringing JOY to
all and I put my priorities in life in just this way: Jesus ....
Others .... Yourself. EnJOY!

My name is Jeff and I am
2 1/2 years old. My Mom (who's helping me write this) says that
I am definitely like Jabber the Parrot. Here is a poem that my
Mom wrote:
************************************************
Jabber is my name and that's what I do.
Good or Bad, I'll repeat after you.
I talk all day and I talk all night.
Some stuff I say gives Mom a fright.
The colors of the rainbow cover me
They match my personality to a 'T'.
I can be naughty or I can be sweet
One thing's for sure, my charm can't be beat.

Dear Ms. Janie,
This is going to be fun. What a wonderful idea indeed. So many
beanies, so many people, who do I start with? My submission follows
below,
Dear little Pellet is so
like my Daughter, sweet, charming and somewhat disarming. Megan
and Pellet are quiet and shy yet cute as can be I don't wonder
why.
With a mischievous twinkle in each of their eyes, you can see
that they live as large as the sky. Together they make a remarkable
pair, lovely to snuggle, love and embrace. So Pellet's my choice,
it is clear to see why, he and my Megan are a team and give rise
to my voice.

I remind myself of Scorch...
I love dragons, I've always wanted to fly, I have red hair, I've
had a fascination with fire, and I'm quick to get angry and slow
to cool down, lol!

Kaleidoscope the cat reminds
me of myself.
Cheer and happiness are better than wealth.
Some see confusion and disarray when they look my way.
Look again and you will have to say,
Beauty you see in the end,
a colorful, loyal friend.

Tabasco or Snort would have
to be
the beanies that most resemble me
We're really and truly one and the same
even though we each have a different first name.
The resemblance would be obvious to those in the know
But in personality, not looks, this resemblance does show
Stubborn, steadfast, not one to be led
And all of us fond of the color red.
We were all three born in the month of May
When the weather is usually perfect for play
Snort can dance and Tabasco sings.
Do you really believe that a Red Bull gives you wings?

Here is a little poem I
came up with about my beanie self ! :o)
If I were a beanie
I think I'd be
A nice little kitten
Don't you agree?
I am a lot like a kitten
I think we all know
By the name of Purr
This little kitten goes
We are both so lazy
And like to spend our days
Laying around in the sun
And soaking up some rays
Purr and I are so alike
I think you would see
If I were a kitten I'd be Purr
And as a human she'd be me
I just love cats and always feel right at home with them! My family
always jokes around and says I am going to be a cat lady when
I am older and have 100 cats! LOL I am well known for my lazy
days and staying up at night just like my kitties! :o) I really
think Purr and I are two peas in a pod, I sure can relate to all
those lazy days!

HUGGY IS A LOVING, WARMHEARTED
BEANIE BEAR YOU SEE.
A TRAIT, I AM TOLD, THAT MANY ASSOCIATE WITH ME.
HUGGY'S AND MY ARMS NEVER TIRE AT ALL.
EVEN WHEN WE HAVE TO STRETCH THEM WAY UP TO HUG THOSE WHO ARE
TALL.
BIG ONES, LITTLE ONE AND EVEN INTERNET ONES,
WE ARE ALWAYS THERE TO GIVE YOU A SQUEEZE.
ALL WE ASK FROM THE RECEIVER IS A HUG IN RETURN PLEASE.
WE WERE BOTH BORN IN AUGUST AND LEOS HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER.
AND IF THERE IS NO ONE AROUND, THEN WE HUG ONE ANOTHER.
COMPANIONS WE ARE, MY OFFICIAL BEANIE SIDE KICK IS HE.
OUR PURPOSE YOU MAY ASK?
TO SPREAD LOTS OF LOVE, HUGS AND LAUGHS
TO ALL THOSE WE KNOW BUT ESPECIALLY TO FELLOW SMAFS.
SO IF A BEANIE I COULD CHOOSE TO BE, HUGGY IS THE ONE THAT WOULD
FIT ME.

My little child is
an angel you should see...
She's the bestest thing
that ever happened to me.
"Peekaboo, I see you"!
Are you hiding there from me?
"Peekaboo I see you"!
Gets her laughing out in glee.
She's loved like a little
turtle
hiding in her shell...
And when she's happy as a bug,
It makes my heart start to swell.
As you can tell I'm writing
about my daughter Denise, who is a very special person in my life.
She's now an adult, but everytime I hear someone say "Peekaboo",
or read it somewhere, or say it myself to someone's child, I'm
taken back in time to when she was a baby, and we played the "Peekaboo
game".
I just loved it when Peekaboo was introduced and all the wonderful
memories Peekaboo brought up.

The beanie I feel I resemble
tonight
Is Speckles, the ebeanie, from TyTrade's site.
From a distance, plain brown, but up close, a lot more,
those speckles of colors, stand for all I adore.
Like rainbows and blue skies and flowers in bloom,
Golden sand on a beach, and a peacock's full plume.
In regards to her poem,
we totally concur,
And I hope that 'net friendships will always endure.
For I have discovered a wonderful breed,
Called BEANIE LOVERS, a rare breed indeed!
So thoughtful and kind, they are charming and funny!
They brighten my days, like Speckles must love honey!
I am thankful I found them,
online out here,
For a friend is a friend, no matter how far or near.
So I thank you Ms. Janie and your friend Mary too,
For allowing me the chance to state what is true.
Just like Speckles "I think of friends I've never met",
When I am out, "Surfing on the Internet"!

No doubt about it, I am
Batty (ty dyed that is). I may once have been
Peace but I'm moving onto Kuku with a Hissy Hoot. (To say I have
a split
personality is an understatement).
I was Peace until I heard
of these 'softees with hearts' - 'Please mom,
that's all I want or need' said my dear little kindergartner.
I looked
and I looked but what did she mean - what had she seen?
We needed a gift for a lady
with cats - I bought a cute white stuffed
kitten but it never left our house - Do you know why?
"That's it, THAT'S
IT", my kindergartner cried out, "Oh thank you,
Mommy, Thank you. THANK YOU!!!! You found a softee with a heart."
Needless to say that was
the end of my Peace although I was the Dearest
Princess in my Happy daughter's eyes, I was about to become Nuts
in my
husband's (Mac's) eyes. (He now Prickles at the mention of beanies.)
We started with Flip and
then one more softee heart and then another.
Well I know that I've become Batty (Ty dyed) because who cares
if what
I'm wearing matches when we chase a new arrival = it's BEANIES
we're
after !
Thanks, Ms Janie, I needed
to confess to my split personality.

Hi Ms. Janie,
Here's my entry for your fabulous new beanie personality contest:
If I were a beanie which
one would I be?
Out of hundreds of styles which is like me?
I think it would have to be Mellow the Bear.
Like Mellow, pastels are the colors I wear.
I like to give bear hugs to my family
so my kids think Mellow is kind of like me.
Mellow's coat is so soft to the touch
and she looks like she eats chocolate too much
with that darling full-tummy pot-belly style.
Chocolate's a passion I indulge once in awhile...
well ok - I confess - I eat more than my share
and it's left me looking just like that bear!

The Beanie that I think
represents me the best would have to be the Thank You Bear. I
am thankful to all of those who have stuck by me through thick
and thin and to those who chose to leave my side and watch me
struggle. I am thankful to those who told me what I wanted to
hear and to those who told me what I didn't want to hear. I am
thankful to those who gave me a hug when I felt alone and to those
who turned the other way. I am thankful to those who laughed with
me and to those who laughed at me. I am thankful to have food
and to also know what hunger feels like. I am thankful to feel
safe right now and still remember what harm's way felt like. I
am thankful to know the joy of motherhood and to also know the
heartache of motherhood. I am thankful for the beautiful Beanie
collection I have built and also for the memory of how much money
I used to blow on frivolous things like food. For all of these
moments I have endured, I can say THANK YOU. Those experiences
are what made me who and what I am today. I am very thankful to
God, my family and my friends for allowing me to be me.

I hope I am like the Peace
beanie. I sell wigs to those in need.
Whether it be loss from chemo or other illnesses, I help these
people feel better about themselves and their outlook on the things
to come.
