I have
received a few notes regarding the dying of White Faced Spangles
into Blue Faced Spangles.
Collectors are aware that the BLUE faced Spangles were limited
and could possibly be worth more money.
It is important that you check these Beanies very carefully as
not to be misled.
As far as I can tell the blue faced Spangle are sewn with white
thread. If the piece is dyed after production the thread would
be dyed as well resulting in blue thread. This would be especially
evident under the chin at the seam that goes from the neck to
the nose; this would be the easiest way to check. Simply pull
the fabric apart at the seam area and you should be able to see
the thread. If the thread is blue, then your Beanie has been dyed.

In
regards to Pink Face Spangle. From what I can tell it looks like
the pink ones were sewn with pink thread; however, if you are
suspicious you can check all of the seams, if there are various
shades of pink thread, that would indicate some tampering.
