June 10th 2000 was indeed a joyous day for me and plenty other Ty Beanie Babies Collectors. "Hello Beanies!" was the cheer of the day at Bishan Junction 8, as Ty Beanie Babies finally landed in Singapore.
Long before the store was opened, there were crowds forming
up admiring the thousands of Beanies through the glass panels.
Police was even called in to control the large but orderly crowds.
There were so many varieties to choose from; Babies, Buddies,
Classics, Attic Treasures and Pillow Pals. I wish I had the chips
to buy them all!
You bet I will be fastening my belts to squeeze out the extra chips to bring home the Babies!
It seems that different varieties are going on sale at different places around Singapore, and I will be at each of the stores to purchase the Beanies of my dreams. Looks like hunting season has started yet again.
