This notice is being posted in regards too much e-mail I have received regarding Issy Cards being sold through some secondary sources.
Collectors are receiving
notes from sellers offering Issy Cards. If you are bidding or
paying for a New York Issy Bear, please verify that the Issy you
are purchasing is from the hotel and comes with an authentic Four
Seasons Card.
Do not be fooled into thinking you are getting a New York Four
Seasons Issy Bear when in fact you could end up with a Retail
version. Check the tag and look for the 2000 version for the New
York Issy bear.
There is NO card with the retail Issy.
Other specific markings,
which help to determine which version, you are receiving.
The hangtags should match the tushtags. Example - if the bear
is from a specific country the two tags should match with the
same country information.
The Four Seasons Issy Bear is for (FOR REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY)
There is a bar code on the Retail Issy
There is NO bar code on the New York Version Issy.
The New York version Issy is for the following charity "Sloan
Kettering Cancer Research"
The retail Issy is for the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research.
