CORPORATE PRESS RELEASE

Ty Responds to National Tragedy

Oak Brook, Illinois, September 13

Ty Inc. today announced the introduction of "America" a new Beanie Baby created specifically to assist in our Nation's recovery efforts necessitated by the tragic occurrences of September 11. 100% of Ty's profit from the original purchase of the "America" Beanie Baby will be donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Ty has pledged a minimum of $1,000,000.00 to the American Red Cross, but expects the donation will be far greater.

"I mourn this terrible tragedy along with the rest of the Nation. All of our lives have been touched forever by what has happened, but hopefully we will be able to heal the wounds. The Beanie Baby "America" gives everyone an opportunity to be a hero in some small way. Let's work together and perhaps we will be able to make a difference," said Ty Warner, President, CEO and owner of Ty. "America" the Beanie Baby will be available for sale globally.

According to Skip Seitz, Senior Vice President of the American Red Cross, "The American Red Cross is working around the clock to ensure that those affected by the recent tragedies have comfort and care. We are grateful that so many Americans, including Ty, have demonstrated a willingness to help the Red Cross provide immediate and long-term relief to everyone who has been touched by these catastrophic events. We are truly grateful for Ty's support for all our disaster relief efforts from preparedness, response, grief counseling and lifesaving blood."

Further details concerning the "America" Beanie Baby can be viewed at Ty's website, http://www.ty.com. Ty also provides through the ty.com website a direct link to the American Red Cross donation page.

The thoughts and prayers of the Ty family are with the families and friends of all the victims of this tragedy. May God bless them, and may God bless America.
